The survey also revealed that 85.9 percent of the respondents have terminated candidates on account of fake/forged documents, 77.6 percent have terminated candidates on account of ethics, 30.6 percent have terminated due to discrepancy in tenure of employment and 29.4 percent have terminated due to discrepancy in designation, job role or salary.



22.1 percent of the respondents use social media information while screening candidates, whereas 39.5 percent do not use social media screening. And 38.4 percent of the respondents have not used social media screening as yet, but soon plan to. 



It was also revealed that 34.1 percent of the respondents conduct complete background checks within one month of the employee joining the organization, 32.9 percent conduct background checks prior to the offer of employment; whereas 30.6 percent conduct background checks after offering employment, but before the candidate joins.
