Indian IT Biggies Now Hiring Efficient Talent From Global B-Schools

Another major Godrej Consumer Products also disclosed the fact that it has similar plans to go overseas. Sumit Mitra, head - group Human Resources and corporate services, Godrej Industries said, "This year, we are planning to expand our footprint to ethnic business school students from regions such as Africa, South-East Asia and Latin America."  Moving forward with this decision the company also plans to scale down people from India in these expansion programs to create a global pool of talent.



On the other hand, Wipro already has a global campus programme and aims at hiring candidates from global B-schools based on business requirements. The company, which has already been on the hiring spree over the past 24 months, is planning to increase its hiring numbers from overseas campuses to keep up with its business and client requirements.



Saurabh Govil, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Wipro said, “Our goal is to create a global pool of local talent and while we cannot share specific numbers, our hiring from global campuses has increased. This is in line with our strategy of differentiation in the front and standardisation at the core." He further added "As a global organisation, we would want our client facing talent in various geographies to have a higher blend of local talent,” reports ET.
