Adobe Study Reveals the State of Creativity in Education in APAC

BARRIERS AND ENABLERS



i. 69 percent believe the current education system in India is not geared toward creativity. 35 percent believe the biggest barrier to creativity is a system that is heavily reliant on testing and assessment



ii. 52 percent of respondents felt the current education system either outdated or restrictive or both



iii. 41 percent of educators believe tools and training for educators are the most critical need to promote creativity



TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES



i. An overwhelming 89 percent of respondents felt that technology and digital tools play an important role in fostering creativity among students and about 92 percent of the respondents felt they were generally prepared to use digital tools to enhance creativity amongst students



ii. Encouraging idea generation (67 percent), promoting collaborative practices (62 percent), rewarding creative ideas (62 percent) and involving children in critical thinking skills (56 percent) and were identified among the top tools and techniques educators use to foster creativity
