INNOVATION AND GROWTH

i. India rated 8.6 (on a scale of 1 to 10) on the importance of infusing creativity in education to ensure country’s long-term success

ii. But at the same time, when asked about the effectiveness of the current education system in developing a new generation of innovators, educators rated it a lackluster 5.1 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Commenting on the findings of the survey, Sunil PP, Director Education Sales , Adobe India said, “The Indian education system needs to rapidly evolve from that of being testing and assessment-led to the one that is creativity and innovation-led. The findings of the survey clearly state the desire expressed by Indian educators for making creativity integral to the curriculum and finding right tools and technology to enable them to foster creativity in their classroom. Only by doing so will the educators play their rightful role in creating a new generation of innovators”.
