Newspaper Reporter
Median Salary: $37,090
Hiring Outlook: -13 percent

This could come as a surprise for some of you, but at the end of the day, you have to face the reality. According to the Bureau of labor statistics, this field is projected to experience a 13 percent drop in employment opportunities by 2022. The rise of online and social media is gradually sidelining the reporter’s job and has adverse affect on traditional news reporters. As the digital consumption of news continues to pressure newspaper and magazine publishers, as well as television and radio broadcasters, it's true that more money is being earned online. As a result, it's not enough to offset the revenue lost to declining advertising and subscriptions.
Travel Agent
Median Salary: $34,600
Hiring Outlook: -12 percent

The rise of mobile apps and the decline of the open web are making things difficult for traditional travel agents. This is because these apps can do what an agent can with better options, and most importantly, you get to access it on the go.  So looking for a job in this profession might not make sense. According to the Bureau of labor statistics, employment in this field is expected to drop by 12 percent by 2022.
