5. Bihar:



[Out of 1,000, 83 persons will be unemployed]



Bihar is the third largest populated State in India where more than half of its population is below twenty five years, that is considered to be highest proportion in India. In this state, about 8.3 percent of the people are unemployed which is considered to be 2.5 times more than the national average of unemployment. This huge unemployment rate in this State can be because of lack of industrialization and development works.  It was reported in the ‘infochnage Poverty’ website that, two million people in the state of Bihar were reported to be unemployed, from the total population of nearly 82.88 million.

Apart from the lack of industrialization and development works, Bihar’s poor economic conditions along with bad governance can be other two factors that can be responsible for rising unemployment. Few experts are of the opinion that, Bihar can be considered as a best example of joblessness linked to poverty and a high population.
