6.  West Bengal:



[Out of 1,000, 78 persons are unemployed]



West Bengal, being the fourth most populated State in India, is situated at the eastern region of India. This State is bordered by our neighboring nations Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh and with the Indian States of Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, Sikkim and Assam. The State has one of the country’s biggest metropolitans, as its capital [Kolkata]. Agriculture is the leading occupation in this State. Though having one of the biggest metropolitans in the State, the residents over here are finding it difficult to get a job in this State. Around 78 people out of every thousand people are reported to be jobless in this State.

But this rate of unemployment is considered to be better than the other 5 States mentioned in this list. According to Assocham, the State has emerged as the leader for generating great number of job opportunities [3.25 lakh jobs] in the SME [Small and Medium Enterprises] sector.
