Medical laboratory technician basically perform complex scientific tests related to blood, bodily fluids, etc. and analyze the results. These professionals are highly trained and carry out sophisticated procedures or handle complex medical equipments. Medical laboratory technician can opt to work in hospitals or independent laboratories. After analyzing the results, these professionals join forces with physicians or laboratory directors and review the patient’s data.



These professionals might analyze samples of tissue, blood or body fluids and determine blood type, cell count, chemical content, or drug levels and may also search for specific harmful microbes such as virus, bacteria, parasites, etc.



These technicians generally work in a constructive environment that is out of the public eye and mostly free from any kind of distraction.



The stress score for this profession is 9.28 and the median salary for these technicians is around $46,680 per annum.
