Sudan: Republic of Sudan still faces crisis in state-building task that requires solid foundations in order to ensure a sustainable future. Two decades of war have destroyed the education system in Sudan leaving limited poor institutional support to deliver quality education. Sudan has one of the world's weakest economies and by far the most underdeveloped due to inadequate infrastructure. The country even now faces the highest maternal mortality and female illiteracy rates in the world. In addition, industry and infrastructure in this nation remain limited. The biggest issue is the constant battles between the government and the rebels, making it highly difficult for working professionals and immigrants.
Ukraine: Pollution, disease, sanitation, medical facilities, infrastructure, crime, and communications are the major concerns that make it highly impossibly for immigrants to work in Ukraine. Moreover, the capital of Ukraine has the dubious honor of being the worst performing European city on ORC’s list. The medical facilities are inadequate and poor compared to other nations. Also of concern are racially motivated attacks against non-Caucasians and crimes in general.
The very low wages paid in the country mean that there is no good scope for immigrants to work as most of the jobs are second or third jobs. Because many such jobs are in the informal sector, the wages and production earned here are not even accounted for in government statistics. The country has limited funding and there only few officials to inspect workplaces and the labor laws only provide minor punishments for violations, which individuals feel it’s more affordable to pay the fines rather than upgrading working areas to meet government standards.
