2. Desperation: In order to compete with the rest of the world and to excel in their career, some professionals lie on their resume out of desperation. There is an increasing number of faked resumes, where professionals, in order to hide their employment gap change their employment dates, apart from that they also jot down better responsibilities on their resume that they have undertaken during the course of their job, opines  Michael Crom, Vice president at Dale Carnegie Training.
