“I have Indian roots and have grown up eating Indian food and listening to Indian music.” These words were said by none other than former French Footballer Vikash Dhorasoo, whom you won’t have heard about much, during an Interview he gave to Subhendu Ghosh of the ‘Hindustan Times’ during his visit to India in the early 2011. Vikash is of Indo-Mauritian origin, as his ancestors had migrated as laborers to Mauritius from the Indian state of Andhre Pradesh.
