After Retiring from the Lawrence School, Lovedale, Ooty; Mr. K. I .Thomas began a nursery-cum-preparatory school in January 1972. With just 28 pupils on its rolls then, Sishya today has over 1166 students enrolled in various classes.
Drawn from all parts of the country, the students of Sishya have found a common ground of trust and friendship, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Admissions depend on vacancies and an interview has to be done before admission takes place.
