BANGALORE: Google is the top most desired Company for a probable job in any of the person’s dream career. Google receives resumes every month in thousand figures and shortlist few among the lot. Though you have heaps of job experience, the talent and skill to join Google or any other reputed Company in the world; the resume you hold might have a hand in not getting you the desired job.As the employment season kicks off again, let go through some of the common mistakes being repeated in a resume; which should be avoided at any cost; as compiled by The Times of India.
Keep it Short and Simple
Less is always more, especially if you regard resumes for example. Though elaboration is required and you must be ready to do it anytime; but on resumes you need to avoid extra words. More than two pages in a resume are too heavy for the employer and are often rejected though you are talented.
Make your resume short, simple and compact giving out all important information needed. The resume is not the answers to the questions your employer would ask in an interview, but the sole aim of the resume is to get you shortlisted, and for elaboration, interview is the right time. Make your resume focused and packed with meaning rather than scattered words.
