LeftiesHeard about a scholarship for left-handed people? Well here is one on offer from Juniata College which really cares about left-handed students.
Students, who have been attending this college for more than a year, will automatically be eligible for the Frederick & Mary F. Beckley Scholarship, which offers $2,000 to $5,000 with the deadline stacked up at March 15, 2015.
Duck Callers
Most of you would have no idea about this scholarship. It’s perhaps the honor of the “legendary champion duck callers and duck calls makers,” the Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Contest held each fall in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
In addition, during its 38-year history, the renowned contest has awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships to young duck callers attending 32 different colleges and universities in 13 different states.
When it comes to worth, the first, second, third and fourth place gets $2,000, $1,000, $750, and $500 respectively. So if you want to take it up show up in Stuttgart on Nov. 28 and let loose with your best duck call.
