6. Bomb squad and EOD specialist:



Explosive ordnance (EOD) specialist and bomb squad technician is one the most dangerous and terrifying profession in the world. They tackle danger head on in an attempt to deactivate explosives, bombs and ordnance. EOD specialist may also parachute in or scuba dive to deactivate underwater bombs and mines, sometimes even under enemy fire.

In addition, they face a constant risk of being seriously injured and even killed by the bombs / explosives they are trying to defuse. They have to constantly face dangerous and high risk activities, and endure extreme stress and pressure. They have to always perform at the peak of their abilities as a single wrong move can trigger an uncontrolled explosion of the bomb they are handling and inflict massive human casualties. Also they have to face severe mental trauma as seeing the aftermath of an explosion can have a strong and permanent impact on an individual’s sanity.
