Major Layoffs of the Year 2011

Motorola Mobility:



Motorola Mobility revealed that it would lay off around 800 employees worldwide. These 800 people include the staff at its mobile device business and its home business and some employees who perform corporate functions. The company has already let go around 700 employees in this year.



This company was part of the Motorola, but it came out from that administration in the early this year into a separate publicly traded company. The company is into manufacturing television, and mobile devices like the Droid Razor smartphone.
