Job Hopping Is the Most Damaging Employability Prospect

In addition, the survey also revealed that age is just a number and not a deterrent, as 70 percent of the respondents were at ease to place a new job to candidates in their 30s. Respondents also revealed that there is a greater demand for candidates in their 40’s than for individuals in their 20s. Only 1 percent of the recruiters considered candidates in the age group of 50, as the easiest to place job, while none favored candidates in their 60s.

According to 36 percent of the respondents, the range of time for which an individual can be jobless before it becomes difficult for recruiters to place him/her in a new job is between 6 months to 1 year. Whereas 17 percent felt that being without a job for less than 6 months would still make it hard to place someone in a job and 4 percent felt it was difficult to place an unwaged individual, irrespective of the duration.
