This is an ideal career for individuals who aspire to be in the limelight and have a passion for promoting events or other issues they feel are important.



The job description for this profession involves handling a client’s / organization’s communication with the general public, developing an organization’s public image, writing materials for media releases, plan and direct public relations program, raise fund for their organization, etc.



The opportunities for aspiring individuals in this field is enormous, especially in this communication era where it has become utmost important for an organization / individual to maintain a positive public image, and is bound to grow by leaps and bounds with the evolution of media and technology.




Although there is no specific educational requirement for working as a public relations specialist, most employers opt to hire candidates with a college degree and some experience. Most professionals in this field have majored in journalism, communication, public relation or advertising.
