5. Zia Mody: Zia Mody is listed by Business Today as one of the 25 most powerful business women in India several times. She is the Co- founder of ABZ partners. Originally a top corporate lawyer, Zia has completed her initial education from Elphinstone College, Mumbai, law at Selwyn College, Cambridge University, followed by a masters degree from Harvard Law School in 1979. She also worked for five years with Baker & McKenzie in New York City, before returning to India. In 1984, she started her own law practice in Mumbai that she merged twice with other firm to build AZB & Partners, one of India's largest law firms.
