If you're thinking that government jobs are where the money is at when you're just getting started with your technology degree, you need to think it over again because electrical/electronics and communications engineering degrees are the ones that is fetching top starting salaries. In the survey those with an electrical/electronics and communications major within the federal and local government, can expect to make a median salary of 3.81 lakh the highest average within this discipline. And those with a master's degree in this discipline would do well to look to the manufacturing industry, where they could bring in 5.86 lakh per year as aerospace engineers.
Mechanical Engineering Degree
Median Pay: 2.30 lakh

The engineering background that emerged as a field to be in during the industrial revolution has made significant increases in terms of salaries as compared to other fields in the list. The mechanical engineering graduates marked high starting salaries in all areas except federal, state, and local government positions.
Graduates with engineering technology degrees stacked up high salaries with the private sector paying 2.30 lakh—on average, with some paying as much as 7.11 lakh annually. Working as software developers within the applications and systems software industry, the average for the engineering technology graduate was devised at 3.46 per year. Furthermore, in the professional, scientific, and technical services industries, mechanical engineering graduates gained 12 percent year-over-year.
