Being a Chef
BENGALURU: If you really adore cooking and feel it’s something that binds your mind, body, and spirit, then you should definitely consider becoming a chef. The destination is ecstatic but the path is not a cakewalk– it covers hours of labor and intense competition. But once you master it you will be able to create new tastes, dishes or run your own restaurant.
Work in a Restaurant
The place doesn’t have to be the best in the town, and probably it won’t be. Show interest and start learning from senior Chefs. Start from the bottom and climb your way to the top.
Practice at Home
Get confident with knifes and other kitchen equipments. Practice different types of cooking and cuisines, and decide what suits you better. Practice skills that might come handy. You can replicate such things at work and get reviews. Food is not just something you eat anymore, what you cook is a part of you, food is your language.
Generate Passion
Being a good chef is not very easy; it takes love for the culinary arts field. It involves dedication to know how to cook. Generate an obsession for new tastes, flavors and trends in the field. Be aware. Period
Read cooking blogs, restaurant reviews, and new recipes and things related to culinary arts and best chefs. Remember to visit good restaurants and try the best food.
