Leaders can act as an example and if you want your team to respect you and be humble and show them how to be so. Being an example can be anything, right from the way they work, to the way they make professional decisions. Though it's not an easy task to serve as an example but one can always try. Appreciate others' talent and skills, and give them credit what they deserve. Your subordinates will appreciate your help and support and this way the team performance will also improved.
