Bangalore: The economic slowdown is back to haunt us once again. Thousands of jobs are lost each day from all round the globe and adding fuel to the fire is the shaky job market which is at an all time low. And it seems the younger workforce are the worst to be hit and are particularly facing the most horrible job prospects in recent times.

With this in mind, we have put together a list of nations with the worst employment figures, as listed on Rediff. And unfortunately, India is one among the list.

#1. Greece

Jobless Rate: 27.6 Percent

With an unemployment rate that jumped up almost 20 percent in the last 5 years, Greece has garnered the top position in the list. Prior to the financial meltdown in 2008, the economy of this vibrant country was regarded as one of the thriving economies in the Eurozone, and currently the situation is quite the opposite.

Nearly one out of five people in the country are out of work and a majority of those within the age of 18 to 24 are struggling to land a job. The once flourishing shipping and tourism sector is the worst hit in the country and more than a million companies in the nation have already bankrupted.
