5. Montenegro



The economy of this middle-income European country is mostly service-based. Though, the country had hit by 2008 recession, it could increase its amount of direct foreign investment. Montenegro is also switching to a market economy today. Aluminum is the largest contributing industry to its GDP and is covering almost 80 percent of the country’s total export. More than 50 percent of the employees are reported to work full-time for an employer while Montenegro is privatizing its industries. Together with agriculture and food-processing, tourism sector is also expanding to create more jobs.
