Priyanshu Kumar Jha
The first entry in the list is Priyanshu Kumar Jha, who pocketed a massive $1,80,000 (approximately 1.12 crore) offer from Microsoft. This Amdavadi boy who obtained his Bachelor's degree in information technology from UV Patel College of Engineering and Master’s degree in software engineering from National University of Singapore will now work for Microsoft's Bing search engine as a development engineer. Elated after landing the job, Priyanshu who was the youngest in the batch to appear for placements at the University said to TOI that, "As an engineering student, I always aspired to work for Microsoft at some point in my career". And he added, "But to have my first job, at this age, as an engineer in Microsoft is a dream come true". Priyanshu also exclaimed that being the youngest with no work experience in the batch filled with individuals with a minimum of two years of work experience, was a disadvantage. He had to spend extra hours and put in a lot of effort just to keep up with his more experienced batch mates.
