Bangalore: Despite a slowing economy and layoffs in many industries, certain new age corporate jobs are defying all odds and have emerged as the most sought after profiles of current times.

4. Market Research Analysts and Marketing Specialists
Irrespective of whether an organization is into marketing consumer products, automobiles, computer software or chemicals, it has to crush its competition with an iron hand in order to fill its pocket. In such a situation, it has become essential for an organization to amass valuable information related to the competitors' markets and customers to gain an upper hand, and hence most employers are aggressively hiring candidates for market research analyst and marketing specialist positions.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline is the minimum requirement for most entry-level positions in this line of work. However, a master’s degree in marketing or an MBA may be essential for more technical positions. Previous experience can be worth in gold while opting to pursue employment in this field.
As per PayScale, the median wage for these professionals is in the range of 3.50 lakhs.
