These professionals are principally responsible for making recommendations, interpreting data, and formulating reports as per the results of their findings. They examine the inherent market conditions in national, regional, or local areas to inspect probable sales of a particular product or service. They apply quantitative and qualitative techniques to interpret the data and fabricate substantiated recommendations for the welfare of the company. These professionals’ aid business organizations to understand what kind of products local people are looking for, who are the potential buyers, and what is the price they are willing to pay.



As per the BLS report, this profession is inclined for a growth of about 41 percent from 2010 to 2020, which is much higher than the average growth of all the other professions.



The minimum educational requirement for this profession is a Bachelor’s degree in market research or a related field such as math or statistics. And as per the PayScale website, the annual salary for a market research analyst is in the range of 1.69 lakhs to 7.02 lakhs.
