2. Welcome the applicant on a positive note: Keep in mind that your job is to hire the right candidate and not to scare him or her. Therefore, start on a positive note and make the candidate feel welcome. Make him/her feel easy and comfortable so that he/she can perform well. Likewise, test his/her knowledge and skill specific for the position he/she has applied for. Never, ever judge the candidate based on whether he/she seems sociable or not.
