BANGALORE: Each industry is uniquely responding to recession and recovery, and there are also jobs for the future that might not stand the test of time, as they are shedding positions rapidly. Job #1: Information Clerk: Introduction of electronic and online filing systems has certainly made things difficult for these professional. In fact it has adverse effect on the hiring prospects of file clerks.
Information clerks are the individuals who are responsible for responding to inquiries by gathering appropriate information. These professionals retrieve files, make phone calls, or search databases to obtain most accurate response.  According to the Department of Labor, growth is expected to be 2 percent because employment opportunities will be stunted as businesses automate and consolidate their administrative functions.
"And with the growing confidence in the security of digital files, along with the space-saving aspect and ease of access to them thanks to efficient databases, more and more businesses will go paperless," said Susan Heathfield, a management consultant.
