4. Grounded To Reality

Mentor: RT Rajan, Former VP (consumer electronics), Haier India

Prodigy: Manish Sharma, MD, Panasonic India

According to Manish Sharma, his former VP was instrumental in making him join Haier India and his greatest lessons came during his early days of being associated with the firm. As per him, Rajan was a competent and aggressive leader who was very proactive. He was very good at strategies and his biggest strength was leading from the front.

He added that, he was from a technical background and initially considered sales people to take it easy. And thanks his boss, his views regarding the sales counterparts witnessed a major shift after understanding ground realities.

Lessons Taught by RT Rajan-

“IT-based decision support systems are the backbone of an organization”

“The grass is green everywhere- it depends on which side you’re on”
