#2. Reporter and Correspondent

Are you good with words and aspire to pursue a job in journalism? Sure, being a reporter may look colorful, flamboyant and authoritative, but if you consider the grueling work and pay associated with these jobs, it is not worth the investment.

If you think that being a reporter or a correspondent and delivering the news will make you rich and famous, you might be surprised to known that these professionals bag a median wage that is roughly around 2.50 lakh per annum (as per PayScale), which is certainly less than exciting. As per Lee, though a lot of people admire reporters and aspire to be one among them, not many have an idea of how little these professionals make.

To make the matters worse, landing a job in this line of work is not easy and can take a toll on even the best.

A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, plus relevant internships or work related experience are some of the pre-requisites to enter this profession.
