# use the reference’s name in the subject line
Reference mails are important and you need to be careful and specific while writing this. The bottom line is to grab attention of the reader in a prompt and positive manner. You should not put the reference name in the body of the mail as sometimes the reader may be running out of time and would be unable to read the full mail. So, instead put the reference name in the mail subject line itself. It is better that you begin the mail subject line with the reference’s name itself.
