The country comes in the seventh position on the political empowerment sub index and carries a strong attitude towards reducing their educational gender gap. Denmark is known as a best performing country on the estimated earned income indicator and is the only country where women earn more than men. At the 2011 elections they elected a female prime minister, which is the best example of the country’s women empowerment.
