Excessive Nodding:

Constant head-nodding is a way of expressing continuous engagement in the conversation but it should not be overdone. To appear assertive, especially when stating your opinion, keep your head still. You don’t want to look like a bubblehead and agreeing to everything the interviewer says. Nod once or twice with a smile of agreement. However, if this goes on for long, the interviewer will be less able to read those moments where you share an understanding of a particular point of view.

Crossed Arms:

Arm movements are powerful gestures and are used to complement speech and to underline important parts of the spoken message. If they are not used carefully, they can show an array of negative emotions. Arms crossed over your chest signal defensiveness and resistance. When you are open at your sides you appear more approachable.
