World Youth Skills Day To Witness 10,000 Job Offers From Corporates

BENGALURU: Marking the World Youth Skills Day on July 15, Corporates are planning to offer 10,000 jobs to students in industrial training institutes (ITIs) in India, Reports DNA.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will launch the campaign on July 15 will present job offers to some students. He will also launch few more initiatives at the event as part of Skill India campaign.



These initiatives also include the National Skill Development Mission, National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015 along with the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.



The companies offering jobs to ITI passouts are Bosch, Tata Motors, Reliance and more.



A scheme called ‘Skill Loan’ will also be launched at the event, which sanctions loans from Rs 5,000-1.5 lakh to around 34 lakh youths, who wish to attend skill development programmes in coming five years.



The schemes launched by UPA government were also sanctioned loans worth Rs 60 crore under the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Skill Development
