Wipro Offers 8 percent of Salary Increment

This year, Wipro witnessed a dip in attrition to 15.6 percent from its last year’s 22.6 percent whereas the involuntary attrition reported to be increased from 2 percent to 3.2 percent. Kumar informed, it was typical and corresponded with end of company’s employee evaluation and appraisal cycle. And he has remarked that those who did not perform, were demanded to leave.

Wipro has built a more flexible HR structure which demands an independent HR team for every business division to maintain a grassroot level of employee engagement programs. The IT firm is to continue recruiting local talents which is almost 38 percent of their labour onsite employee strength. While outsourcing is a major targeted issue to uproar in upcoming U.S. elections, Wipro seems to be untroubled on it. The firm is also reported to bag a multi-year contract from Philips.
