1. Measure Energy, Not Hours:

As per Tony Schwartz, the President and CEO of The Energy Product, the number of hours an employee spends at the desk doesn’t actually determine the quality of work or productivity.

The energy reserves in the mind and the work done are directly proportional and it is a fact that the mind can only spend as much as it receives. And the only way to feed our minds is to take break or rest at periodic intervals. Hence it is beneficial to incorporate a work schedule that allows employees to rest at periodic intervals and remain rejuvenated so that they can be alert and active throughout the work.

2. Flexibility Means More Availability:

For demanding professions such as client services business 8 hours shifts is practically not applicable, as the profession demands being available and flexible throughout the day. Employees in such field work on their toes 24x7, deliver great results, and serve the clients when they need, cannot be refrained by time, as they tend to suffer finding time for other essential activities in such crunching schedules.

For these types of round the clock jobs, taking breaks at their leisure has become more important than ever.
