Medical Transcriptionist




Medical transcriptionists transcribe the dictated recordings from doctors and medical professionals into written reports and other materials. The apparatus used are, a headset to listen the recordings and a computer to transcribe the recordings and editing grammatical errors. Medical transcriptionists who work in doctor’s offices and clinics also have administrative duties, like scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and answering phone calls as per the work negotiations. The voluntary credential to become a medical transcriptionist is that the individual must be familiar with medical terminology in order to grasp and precisely transcribe recordings.
