These are professionals who are experts when it comes to translating spoken and written words into another language. They are the ones who break the language barriers between the clients or business partners who do not speak the same language and enable them to communicate. And their job description includes converting written materials from a source language into a target language, ensuring the translated version put across the meaning of the original copy as unambiguously as possible.
Translators can work on documents related to fields such as science, technology, commerce, legal, literary or education, and the work activities usually includes a combination of reading through original material, rewriting it into target language, researching, liaising with clients, proofreading, editing and so on.
Essential Skills: Good communication skills and fluency in more than one language
