The VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology for admissions



into engineering degree courses at its VIT Vellore and Chennai campuses. Candidates appearing for this exam should have passed 12th from any recognized board or an Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination conducted by a recognized board or High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or similar. Students should possess a minimum of 60 percent aggregate in physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology. However, for SC/ST and candidates from North-east and Jammu Kashmir, it is 50 percent.
