6. Israel, Access to Basic knowledge Index: 62.9



Israel as a country gives importance to education, but the number of tertiary graduates has gone down in the last few years as the country is more exposed to war and tensions. The centralized education system is funded by the government and is compulsory from kindergarten to 12th grade. Some private funding is made towards the extracurricular activities in schools, and enrolling in science and art classes needs extra fees.

The French are artistic, as well as highly qualified.



The country is known for its educational prowess and has some of the top known universities of the world. France has inclusive education system and offers compulsory education for children between 6 and 16 years of age, which includes elementary education along with the initial four years of secondary college.



Public education is free and is attended by 80 percent of the students there. France provides flexible education system, which helps students in enrollments and smooth gain of knowledge.



8. Germany, Access to Basic knowledge Index: 61.5



Germany is known for its top universities and high educational standards. Many universities in India offer German student exchange programmes.



For the children between 3 and 6 years, the education is compulsory but not free. Students have to study one foreign language by law and undergo strict examination. Eligibility for higher studies is determined by academic performance on a strict basis.
