9. Failing to express gratitude



Many of the job seekers are failed in the interview for not showing the enough gratitude for the interviewer. Thanking each interviewer in person and also expressing your gratitude for the time they spent, will give you a privilege to be hired. While concluding the interview process with expressing thanks, you also need to ask about the next step in the hiring process. Also sending a thank you note referring the particulars in the interview will be a professional approach for the first step follow-ups.

10. No follow-up/ Too much follow-ups



The better way to lose the job is to not having any follow-ups or annoying the hiring manager with too much of follow-ups. Once you have sent the resume, you have to be in touch with your hiring manager. Sometimes, after sending a resume it needs to be phoned them and enquiring about the interview details which shows how interested you are in that particular job. Until you get the final result, it is advisable for you to make follow-ups. Also, too much follow-ups may irritate your interviewer as they have got many other works than answering you every day.
