Tata Communications, Indigo Among the Best Employers in India

BENGALURU: Around 25 Indian companies are voted as the best employers in India according to the research conducted by Aon Hewitt, a provider of human capital and management consulting services. The best employers in India list include some of the prominent players like Tata Communications, Indigo and the Oberai Group along with 20 other companies, reports The Economic Times.

AON's Best Employer India programme has done the research covering 113 companies across 12 various industries having about 9,50,000 employees. The survey included the organizations with great work environments, high employee engagement, high performance culture, brand of the employer and an effective leadership.

Commenting on the award, Tata Communications said, “With over 8,500 employees across 30 countries and 40 nationalities, the company's commitment to diversity is reflected through its workforce”.

In India, Reliance AMC is the single asset management firm in the list. “We are proud to have a team that drives leadership through trust and ownership—with a focus of providing superior value to our stakeholders,” noted, Reliance Capital AMC CEO Sundeep Sikka.

The Aon Hewitt Best Employers 2016 includes Tata AIA Life Insurance, Tata AutoComp, Tata Chemicals, Whirlpool India, WNS Global, YASH Technologies and Starwood Hotels, Hewlett Packard and many other companies. The list implies that these companies has reached positive trajectory for India Inc. However, given the rapid pace of change, organizations will need to ensure they are adapting to the times proactively.
