Study Reveals 65pct Employees Seek Financial Security

BANGALORE: Around sixty-five pctof employees across all kinds of sectors have suggested financial security as their main concern was pertaining to premature death. MetLife Employee Benefits Trend Study cited "65 pctof corporate employees cite financial security as their topmost concern in the case of premature death”.



PNB MetLife stands as a JV amid MetLife International Holdings, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Punjab National Bank Ltd and several other private investors. Hemant Khera Deputy Director (Employee Benefits) of PNB Metlife cited that between January and March the survey was conducted for around 2,432 employees along with 323 personnel, reports PTI.



While 73 pctof employees have vouched for life insurance as top priority, only a merger 30 pctof employers is willing to offer the same. Likewise, the same pattern is seen in information technology sectors and health care.



Furthermore, sharing similar significant results of the nationwide study he cited, “Fifty seven pctof employees were concerned about lack of comfortable lifestyle post-retirement.”



Nonetheless, considering global scale around 59 pctof Indian employees seek for sufficient money to don a more comfortable post-retirement. Similarly, the same follows for United Kingdom with 64 percent, Poland with 52 percent, 80 pcton Russia while United Arab Emirates stands with 78 percent. On maintaining present employees, around 70 pctof employers are more inclined to hold on to employees while on the other hand, 46 pctof companies suggest the “shortage of talent” is bound to have an effect on their business in the following 12 months.
