Senior Techies Opt For MNCs over Startups

In a country that sees over 600 new startups every passing year, this affinity of top notch talent towards MNCs is becoming a serious issue. And having been forced to compete with industry leaders such as Google and Facebook to recruit top notch talent is taking a lot out of the emerging companies and is making it harder for them to recruit talent for open positions in engineering, technology and product development.



Anshuman Das, Managing Partner at Longhouse Consulting, which works closely with startups on their recruitment process, said that, "Half of the job mandates I get are for senior technology talent". And as per him, there is an immediate demand for approximately 350 senior engineers from young IT firms in India. However, these figures are roughly equivalent to the number of senior executives at top tech firms in the country.
