Mirroring: The whole idea while sitting at an interview is to be able to follow your interviewer’s communication and this can be done by mirroring them. Mirror their movements so they know that you are on the same page as they and that you are paying attention to what they are saying. Copy movements in a way that is not creepy like if they cross their legs then you cross your legs but opposite to the way your interviewer has his or her legs. Simple mirroring of gestures will win you points.

Body Language: “Action speaks louder than words”, this phrase we all know and is very true as well. In the same way body languages speak volumes when it comes to landing a right job or cracking the interview. So watch and be aware of your body language. Make sure that you don’t fidget, play with your pen or keep cracking your knuckles. These are signs that show nervousness and may also irk your interviewer.

Bond with your Interviewer: If you are really interested in making your interviewer remember and like you get conversations going. This will ease tension and also make the interview session a lot more memorable. For example, comment on a family photo or teams, talk about hobbies and free time leisure activities. Subtlety is a skill one must adorn in an interview.
