Bangalore: Just because a job looks glamorous on the outside and hogs all the limelight in the public domain, it doesn’t necessarily mean all is well with that particular line of work.  



Take a look at the most overrated jobs in India that don’t live up to their reputations, as listed by Cindy Perman of CNBC based on CareerCast report.



12. Computer Programmer



Median Salary: 2.37 Lakh (As per PayScale)



Hiring Outlook: 12 Percent



Though the tech industry is on a boom, the job outlook for computer programmers is not very encouraging. The hiring activities are expected to reach a rock bottom in the coming year, as most of the tech conglomerates from the developed economies are expected to outsource coding work to save money.



In addition, the pressure to churn out code at an even faster rate is not very constructive.
