Niti To Get 35-Cr In FY18 For Hiring Consultants, Studies

NEW DELHI: Government think tank Niti Aayog will get 35 crore in the next financial year to hire consultants and prepare studies relating to assistance for states. 

As much as 30 crore has been sanctioned for activities like hiring the services of Consultants/experts for a limited duration to provide high quality services for specific and time-bound tasks, for which general expertise is not available with the Niti Aayog, said the Output Outcome Framework for Schemes 2017-2018.

The 30 crore also includes expenses for undertaking various activities like "studies on assistance to states for preparation of vision document of Niti, Development Support Services for States (DSSS), hiring professional services, consultations with stakeholders on SDGs. Biogas, Bio-Fuel," it added. 

As per the framework statement, 5 crore has been earmarked for 25 research studies, 15 seminars/ workshops, 3 publication of research work and 2 Niti fellowships that are expected to be approved during this financial year.
