Major Layoffs of the Year 2011

Cisco:



Cisco made the announcement in the month of July 2011 that it would approximately cut 9 percent of jobs or 6,500 employees from its regular and full time workforce and some also from the higher posts like as the VP level posts.



As the company had decided to execute Flip and reorganize other aspects of its consumer business, it had cut 550 workers early this year, reports Rachel Metz from the Tech Crunch.
