Bangalore:  The development story of India has hit a roadblock. The country is plagued by the lack of skilled talent and the industries are finding it hard to sustain the critical mass of skilled workforce that propels growth, reports Prachi Rege of DNA.

The recent study has revealed the almost 3/4th of the engineers who graduate from different parts of the nation, lack the critical skills necessary for employment. Experts believe that harvesting the country’s demographic dividend is critical for economic revival of the nation. TV Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education, cited various social, economic and cultural factors behind this debacle, in the recently concluded sixth HR Summit organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
